Shopify and Shopify Plus development

Shopify Plus development for stores that have outgrown their apps

Twenty apps, a theme everyone's scared to touch and an ERP sync held together with automations? Time for a proper build. We write Online Store 2.0 themes, Shopify Functions for discounts, shipping and payments, checkout UI extensions, custom apps and ERP integrations on the Admin GraphQL API. It's all version-controlled, tried on a preview theme first and documented. You end up with a faster store that converts better, a smaller monthly app bill and code your team can work with.

  • Online Store 2.0 themes
  • Shopify Functions and checkout extensions
  • Custom apps and Admin GraphQL integrations
  • Fifteen years building online stores

Fewer apps

Built-in features and Functions replace paid add-ons

Lower

Monthly app spend once the overlap is gone

Documented

Each integration and change written up

Who it is for

Shopify Plus merchants with checkout, discount or B2B rules the admin can't handle

Brands with a growing app bill and pages slowed down by app scripts

Merchants connecting Shopify to an ERP, PIM or warehouse system

Stores that recently moved from Magento and need ongoing development

The problem

Shopify takes the servers off your hands, which is why it works for so many merchants. Growth brings new headaches, though. Every new requirement becomes another app, with its own fee and its own script on every page. The theme is a patchwork of edits from several developers. Stock and orders get to the ERP through a wobbly chain of automations. Checkout rules the business needs can't be set in the admin. And the store gets slower and harder to change every month.

signs-you-need-this.log

  • ›Your app bill keeps going up and some apps do the same job
  • ›Changing the theme breaks something somewhere else
  • ›Core Web Vitals are failing because of app scripts
  • ›Orders, stock or prices drift out of step with the ERP
  • ›You need checkout or discount rules the admin can't do
How we work

We run a Shopify store like any software project, with version control, preview themes, code review and a changelog.

  1. Step 01

    Review

Theme code, installed apps, scripts on each page, integrations and Core Web Vitals. We find what's slow, doubled up or fragile, and what Shopify can now do itself.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

A written scope covering theme work, apps to remove or replace, custom features and integrations. Fixed price where the scope is clear.

  3. Step 03

    Build

Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks your team can edit, Shopify Functions for discount, shipping and payment rules, checkout UI extensions on Plus, and custom apps where nothing off the shelf fits.

  4. Step 04

    Connect

ERP, PIM, warehouse and accounting integrations on the Admin GraphQL API and webhooks, with retries and logging so you know when something fails.

  5. Step 05

    Release and hand over

Changes are tested on a preview theme, released so they can be reverted, and documented so your team or another developer can pick them up.

Why Scopebit

01

Proper development work

We spent fifteen years on Magento, dealing with big catalogues, B2B pricing, payments and integrations. That experience comes with us to Shopify.

02

We take apps away too

Lots of stores pay for apps that duplicate each other, or for things Shopify now does for free. That's the first thing we look for.

03

Integrations that tell you when they fail

A sync that quietly stops is worse than one that fails loudly. Ours log, retry and send an alert.

04

Magento and Shopify in one team

If you run both platforms, or you've moved from one to the other, we understand your data on both sides.
