About Scopebit

Magento and Shopify developers who stay with your store after launch.

We've been building on Magento since 2011, and on Shopify for clients who moved there. Our clients are retailers, brands and B2B wholesalers in the UK, Europe and North America who sell a lot online and can't afford a bad week.

Our story

We started on Magento 1 in 2011 and moved to Magento 2 when it first came out. Shopify and Shopify Plus came later, when clients wanted to move platforms or open a second store.

Over the years that's meant new builds, custom modules, ERP and payment integrations, platform moves, big version upgrades and the odd server rebuild. Recent examples: a four-language B2B store moved to Magento 2.4.9 while it kept trading, 20,000+ products moved onto a new platform without a single one going missing, and a hacked store rebuilt on a clean server with its full order history.

That kind of work shapes how we operate. We look before we touch anything, and we tell you what we found before we change it. Changes are tried on a copy of your store, and every release can be rolled back. You get a plain record of what was wrong and what we did, so you always understand your own system.

Most clients start with one project and keep us on as their development team. They're multi-store retailers, wholesalers and brands where the website is a big part of the business, and they judge us on what the store sells.

Principles

01

Plan it before we build it

We agree the architecture, data mapping and how each integration behaves before any code gets written. You know what it'll cost and where the risks are from the start.

02

Straight answers

We tell you what we found, including the parts you won't enjoy hearing. If something isn't worth fixing, we'll say that too.

03

No surprise invoices

Each stage is quoted against an agreed scope. If we find more work than expected, you hear about it and approve it before we start. Bugs we introduce, we fix for free.

04

Tested before it goes live

Every change is tried on staging first, released so it can be rolled back, and noted in a changelog you can read.

Hacked Magento 2 store rebuilt on a clean server while customers kept buying

A UK content platform kept getting reinfected, however many times it was cleaned. We built a fresh server, moved 20,000+ products, customers and orders across (476,648 rows in 18 tables), went through all 54 modules and switched over without closing the shop. They kept us on afterwards, starting with a rebuild of their subscription system.
