Magento to Shopify replatforming

Magento to Shopify Plus migration that keeps your traffic and order history

No more patching servers or chasing extension updates, and you keep the customers, order history and Google rankings you spent years building. We've worked inside Magento since 2011, so configurable products, tier prices, customer groups and old orders get mapped properly. Every URL that ranks gets a redirect, and your traffic follows you to Shopify.

  • Working with Magento since 2011
  • Magento 1 and Magento 2 stores
  • Redirect map tested, SEO checked after launch
  • Shopify and Shopify Plus

When we started working with Magento's data model

Who it is for

Magento 1 and Magento 2 merchants moving to Shopify or Shopify Plus

Brands with big catalogues, configurable products and years of order history

B2B and multi-country stores that need their pricing and checkout rules to work on Shopify

Businesses that can't afford to lose their organic traffic

The problem

Shopify's data model is simpler than Magento's. That's a big part of why people like it, and it means each Magento-specific structure needs a decision. Configurable products with lots of options, custom attributes, bundles, customer groups, tier and B2B pricing, multi-store setups. Shopify also has its own URL structure, so every product and category URL changes. Skip that mapping and you lose data, miss redirects and launch with checkout rules that don't match how you sell.

signs-you-need-this.log

  • ›Magento hosting, patching and extension costs keep creeping up
  • ›You don't use most of Magento's flexibility any more
  • ›Your Magento 1 store has to move and Shopify suits you better
  • ›Earlier migration quotes didn't mention redirects or order history
  • ›Your rankings took years to build and you want to keep them
How we work

Mapping comes first. Each Magento structure gets a Shopify home, agreed with you, before a single product is imported.

  1. Step 01

    Will Shopify fit?

We check what your store depends on and whether Shopify or Shopify Plus can do it out of the box, with an app or with custom work. If Shopify's the wrong choice, you'll hear it before you commit.

  2. Step 02

    Map the data

Products and variants, metafields and metaobjects for custom attributes, collections, customer tags and B2B catalogues for groups and pricing, and order history. You approve the mapping document.

  3. Step 03

    Theme and features

We build an Online Store 2.0 theme, set up Shopify Markets for currencies and languages, and move checkout rules to Shopify Functions and checkout UI extensions where you need them.

  4. Step 04

    Integrations

ERP, stock, PIM, shipping and accounting links are rebuilt on the Shopify Admin GraphQL API or connected through the right apps.

  5. Step 05

    SEO plan

We collect indexed Magento URLs from the sitemap, Search Console and server logs, and point each one at its Shopify /products/, /collections/ or /pages/ address with a direct 301. Metadata, alt text, structured data and internal links come across, and we save Search Console baselines.

  6. Step 06

    Launch and traffic check

A final import of new orders and customers, the domain switch with redirects live, a crawl compared with the old one, and close monitoring of orders, Search Console and organic traffic.

Why Scopebit

01

We know where Magento hides the data

Custom attributes, configurable products, store-view overrides, customer group pricing. We read the Magento database directly instead of trusting a generic export tool, so nothing gets lost on the way.

02

We'll tell you if you shouldn't move

Some stores really are better off on Magento. If your B2B logic, pricing or integrations would need a mountain of custom work on Shopify, we'll show you the comparison straight.

03

SEO is in the quote

Redirects, metadata and post-launch monitoring are all in our plan from the start. They aren't an extra you buy after traffic drops.

04

Magento 1 stores welcome

Plenty of our Shopify moves start from Magento 1. We know both versions of Magento well.
