Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce development

Magento 2 development for stores that sell a lot

Fast Hyvä storefronts, B2B price lists that actually match your ERP, and new countries you can switch on without starting a fresh project. We plan the build with you before any code is written, and the code is in your repository from day one.

  • On Magento since 2011
  • Open Source and Adobe Commerce
  • Hyvä, B2B and multi-store builds
  • No core edits, so upgrades stay easy

20,000+

Who it is for

Brands and retailers moving onto Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce

B2B wholesalers and manufacturers with customer prices, quotes and stock fed from an ERP

Merchants selling in several countries, languages, currencies and tax setups

Magento 2 stores that need a Hyvä front end or a cleaner core

In-house teams who need experienced Magento developers for a big chunk of work

The problem

Magento 2 will model almost any way of selling. That's its strength, and it's also where projects go wrong. Teams build from a wish list instead of from how orders, prices and stock really move through the business. Extensions get piled on to plug gaps until the store crawls. Someone edits a core file to hit a deadline, and now every upgrade is a fight. The ERP integration gets left until the end and falls over on real data a week before launch. You end up with a store that's late, costs more to run than anyone budgeted and needs rework before its first upgrade. Get the data, integrations and structure right first, keep custom code in Magento's proper extension points, and most of that goes away.

signs-you-need-this.log

  • ›Your last build overran and launched with known gaps
  • ›The current store is too slow or too fragile to add anything to
  • ›Upgrades are stuck because of core edits or abandoned extensions
  • ›Prices or stock in the store don't match the ERP or PIM
  • ›B2B pricing, quotes or company accounts rely on workarounds
  • ›Every new country or store view turns into its own project
How we work

Six stages, each finishing with something you can read and approve. You'll see the store working on staging the whole way through.

  1. Step 01

    Discovery

We learn how you sell: catalogue, pricing, customer groups, stock, fulfilment, markets and every system around the store. Each requirement gets questioned before it goes into scope.

  2. Step 02

    Architecture and plan

We pick the stack, data model, modules and how each integration will behave, and decide what's native, what's an extension and what we write ourselves. You get the architecture on paper and a quote split into stages.

  3. Step 03

    Build on staging

Modules, B2B logic and the Hyvä or Luma front end are built on staging in short cycles. We follow Magento's coding standards, using dependency injection, plugins and observers, and every change is reviewed before it's merged.

  4. Step 04

    Integrations

ERP, PIM, OMS, payment and shipping links are built to the agreed spec, with queues, retries and logging. We test them with your real data volumes, because a sample of fifty products proves nothing.

  5. Step 05

    Testing and speed

We test checkout, B2B flows, each store view and each integration from start to finish. Then we profile the build and tune caching, indexing and front end assets while it's still cheap to change things.

  6. Step 06

    Launch and handover

We practise the launch first, keep a way back and watch the store closely for the first few days. You get the repository, the documentation and a proper handover, plus a retainer if you want us to keep building.

Why Scopebit

01

The person who plans it builds it

Whoever runs your discovery and draws up the architecture also writes the code. You won't be explaining your business three times to three different people.

02

Upgrades you don't dread

Custom logic sits in modules that use plugins, observers and service contracts. We never edit core or copy vendor files, so taking the next Magento release is a planned job instead of a crisis.

03

Integrations planned at the start

We agree what the ERP, PIM and payment systems send, receive and do when something fails, right at the start. Then we test them with real volumes early, while problems are still cheap to fix.

04

It's your code

Everything lives in your repository from the first commit. Modules, integrations and deployment are all documented, so your own team or anyone else can carry on from where we stop.

From our clients

They rebuilt the entire site on a clean hardened server, migrating 20,000+ products, auditing 54 modules, and delivered a professional cutover report documenting every single step. Best developers I've worked with in 20 years of running web businesses.
